I am a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Science Research at the University of Queensland.
Previously, I was an Assistant Professor in Global and Sociocultural Studies at Florida International University and Lecturer (equivalent to an Assistant Professor in US universities) of Sociology at the University of Melbourne. I completed my Ph.D. in Sociology from UCLA in September, 2015. My research and teaching interests include international migration, race and ethnicity, sociology of education, and quantitative research methods. My research has appeared in Social Problems, ANNALS, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Socius, Sociological Perspectives, Social Science Research, and other journals.
